Wentworth Miller had his first taste of stardom in a role as the sensitive and introverted David in ABC's mini-series "Dinotopia" (2002/I). The very successful longform from Robert Halmi Sr. was a combination of character-driven action and state-of-the-art special effects, and was a story about a world where humans and dinosaurs live together in a magical civilization. From this effects-driven adventure story, Miller moved to one of Hollywood's favorite new projects, The Human Stain (2003), for Miramax. Wentworth had the opportunity to observe and work with Sir Anthony Hopkins. The two share the film's central character, Coleman Silk, Wentworth Miller playing him as a young man before the story moves forward in the tempestuous life of this Ivy League professor. (We really encourage you to read the novel "The Human Stain" written by Philip Roth. It's an excellent book).

Wentworth has at least one thing more in common with the great Anthony Hopkins: though he was raised in Brooklyn, Wentworth was actually born in the UK - in Chipping Norton, England where his father, a Rhodes Scholar, was studying.

A graduate of Princeton, Wentworth's stage time during college was spent on singing, and he traveled the world performing with the school's famed acapella group, The Princeton Tigertones. The young graduate headed to Los Angeles to pursue a behind-the-scenes career in the entertainment industry. And while he was able, with enviable ease, to turn an internship into a paying job and an actual burgeoning career, before long the drive to move in front of the camera became inescapable.

With the support of committed management, within a couple of years Wentworth landed guest spots, learned fast and earned attention on series including "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997) and "Popular" (1999). Dinotopia was his first starring role, and The Human Stain was his first feature.

Wentworth Miller now stars in Fox’s hit drama Prison Break, playing Michael Scofield, a man who robs a bank just so he could help his brother who awaits the death penalty escape from prison.

“I think confidence is the key to so many things. You can talk about sense of humour and style but confidence lies at the root of all those attractive qualities. It’s all about being comfortable in one’s skin.” -Wentworth Miller

Anecdote
A decision that changed his life... and ours.

When his boss was promoted, she asked him to come with her. He refused the job, although it meant job security and USD 40'000 per year. She told him " You are making a mistake and you will live to regret it". We all know that he took the best decision. Today he is our eye candy every monday night.
